What is Caricature? What is a Cartoon? Someone asked me this question. Exactly, I also have confusion on this when I go through with recent cartoons and caricatures. According to me caricature is a humorous narration of a person, but It is not doing criticism. A caricature should have reflect a person’s individuality and which field, what way he highlighted. There should be a clear symbol and life style needed to identify a strange person’s caricature. So that a caricaturist exaggerating face structure. The deference between a cartoon and caricature is that there will be lots of caricature in a cartoon but we cannot find cartoon in caricature. The word caricature is derived from the Italian “Caricare”.
